Overview
The LISA Business – Contract Agent extends the standard Microsoft Sales Order Agent for Dynamics 365 Business Central to support advanced, subscription-centric sales and contract lifecycle management.
The agent is designed to autonomously interpret inbound customer communications, create sales quotes and sales orders and seamlessly translate those sales orders into new or existing subscriptions or contracts in LISA Business. In addition, it introduces automated invoicing controls and full audit traceability between customer emails, sales orders, and subscription changes.
This enables organizations to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy in subscription management, and maintain a complete historical record of contract evolution driven by AI-assisted interactions.
Key Capabilities
AI-Driven Subscription Sales Order Creation
The Contract Agent builds on the Microsoft Sales Order Copilot Agent by enabling:
- Creation of Sales Orders from inbound emails
- Automatic interpretation of customer intent related to subscriptions and contracts
- Conversion of Sales Orders into new subscription plans or contracts in LISA Business
This includes support for complex commercial structures commonly found in subscription-based business models.
Support for Advanced Subscription Scenarios
When creating a new Sales Order that results in a new subscription or contract, the Contract Agent supports:
- Subscription items
- One-time fees
- Add-ons
- Automatic add-ons, applied based on predefined subscription logic
These elements are correctly classified and processed during subscription creation, ensuring accurate contract setup from the initial interaction.
Contract and Subscription Changes via Sales Orders
The Contract Agent also supports Sales Quotes and Sales Orders that result in changes to existing subscriptions or contracts. Supported change scenarios include:
- Adding lines to an existing subscription plan or contract
- Removing lines without a credit note
- Removing lines with a pro-rata credit note
- Future-dated cancellations
This allows customer change requests to be handled consistently through Sales Orders while maintaining full subscription integrity in LISA Business.
Controlled Automatic Invoicing of Subscription Sales Orders
The Contract Agent introduces controlled automation for invoicing subscription-related Sales Orders.
Automatic invoicing is triggered only when all of the following conditions are met:
- The customer has Auto-invoice Subscription Sales Orders from Copilot Agent enabled
- The Sales Order was created by the Sales Order Copilot Agent
- Only lines containing Subscription Items are auto-invoiced and converted into a new or existing subscription or contract
Non-subscription item lines, remain fully controlled according to standard Business Central invoicing rules.
Subscription Audit Tracking
Auditing is available as follows:
- Entries from the Copilot Agent Task Log
- All emails received in the agent’s mailbox
